Privacy Policy of Unfollow Today

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Unfollow Today ("the App") is a mobile application for iOS and Android that helps you manage your X/Twitter followers. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Access to Your X/Twitter Account

The App requires you to log in to your X/Twitter account. The App does not store your password.

Once logged in, the App accesses the following data from your account:

  • Followers and following lists
  • Muted and blocked accounts
  • User profiles (names, descriptions, follower counts)
  • Tweets and engagement metrics (likes, retweets, replies)

This data is used solely to provide the App's core features: unfollower detection, follower analytics, inactive user identification, and tweet analytics.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All X/Twitter data retrieved by the App is stored locally on your device. This includes follower history, account lists, tweets, and user profiles. Your app preferences (theme, notification settings, sync intervals) are also stored locally.

No account data is sent to our servers. The App communicates directly with the X/Twitter API.

3. Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage metrics such as feature usage and app performance. This data does not include your X/Twitter username or personal information.

Analytics is only enabled if you grant tracking permission.

4. Crash Reporting & Performance

The App uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring (Google) to detect crashes and measure app performance. This data includes device information (model, OS version), app version, and diagnostic logs.

5. Advertising

The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Ad formats include banners, interstitials, and app open ads.

To serve ads, Google may collect your advertising identifier, device information, and ad interaction data.

Personalized ads require your consent. You can choose to see non-personalized ads only. On iOS, anonymous ad attribution is handled through SKAdNetwork (no personal data is shared).

6. Notifications

The App can send push notifications to inform you about follower changes. Notifications require your explicit permission and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.

7. Background Data Sync

With your permission, the App can synchronize your follower data in the background. You can configure sync frequency, restrict it to WiFi only, or disable it entirely in the App's settings.

8. Device Information

The App collects basic device information (model, operating system, app version, language) for analytics, crash reporting, and compatibility purposes.

9. Tracking & Consent

On iOS, the App requests your permission before enabling analytics or personalized ads. On Android, consent is managed through Google's consent framework.

If you decline tracking:

  • Analytics will not collect data
  • Ads will be non-personalized
  • All core features of the App continue to work normally

10. Data Retention

  • Local data: Stored on your device until you log out or uninstall the App.
  • Third-party services (Firebase, AdMob): Data retained per Google's standard retention policies.
